OOPS!

Well, I THOUGHT I had written a post and saved it. So much for THINKING!

Saturday night I decided I was going to work on the Double Delight. I got everything out and noticed quite a few pieces that weren't sewed together. So I finished them. When there were only about three sets to go I realized just WHY they hadn't be sewn.... I had sewn the wrong center square to the little triangles. Faced with the task of taking them all apart, I came up wtih an alternative solution, and you and I are the only ones to know. I going to do 60 of them one color combination and 60 the 'new' one. I'm sure I can put it together in such a way that she will think I planned it that way. Here is a picture of what I did wrong. The block on the left is what I had planned. The block on the right is what I did by mistake.
I got so entranced watching the Inaugruation today that I didn't get much sewing done. Or anything else but vegge in front of the TV. But I was watching history being made, right? Just as much as not having school so we could watch Kennedy's Funeral. I've seen other inaugruations but I don't think I really listened to the President's speech or swearing-in before. I sincerely hopoe we are in for better times.

  1. Do you have a pattern for the cute heart quilt on the right side of your blog? When I click on it, it goes straight to quiltville.com, but I don't see where that heart quilt is...can you help? Thanks!

  2. That's just the logo for Quiltville, sorry. But it shouldn't be too hard to figure it out. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a pattern similar to that at Quiltville.

  3. I love the color ways you selected for the DD mystery. Can't wait to see it put together.
